We're at the knockout stages of the Men's Soccer World Cup - who do you fancy from here? (surely it's coming home?!) Four years of training and competing for this moment. Big effort for a big prize - it doesn't get greater in soccer (football where I'm from!) and to win it would be the pinnacle of any player's career - yet despite the enormity of the occasion, there is an even greater prize - the ultimate prize, that will last forever, literally. That prize of a free life in and with Jesus, here and throughout eternity, is the greatest anyone can obtain and therefore the greatest to share with all. Below you will see how some have received that 'crown' in the past month and how others have been equipped to share it. Thanks, as ever and stand strong! Grant & Team WSM

'THE ONE & THE MANY'

Touching Lives

In the UK, during a home school group PE session: There was a child who wasn’t feeling well and didn’t want to take part in the session. He just sat on the sideline and wasn't able to join in. In the middle of the session, the boy joined us as we all sat in the huddle and did our 'Team-Talk,' but he still felt sick. Another child said to him "if you pray to God, He will heal you." I asked the boy if he would like us to pray for him and he reluctantly agreed. Then, after 5 minutes of our team talk, he exclaimed "I'm feeling perfectly well and it looks like Jesus has healed me so that I can join in with the rest of the session." Prayer works and God is good! More Changed Lives:
In Burundi, the team in Bujumbura staged another 'Road-Show' that reached an amazing 6,240 people with the gospel. 812 of them chose to begin following Jesus. In Rwanda, a school sports mission impacted over 250 students with 54 precious young souls beginning a new life in Jesus. In Kenya, the team in Naivasha took supplies and ran a sports tournament in a large local prison sharing the love of God with 2,199 inmates in need of real hope. Thank you Lord.

Training Leaders

From a leader in Burundi: "We did a Youth Conference for 70 teenagers on Leadership Development and Evangelism. During our group work, the participants listed 40 different projects that they believed could serve and reach the community including self-sustainable small business start-ups. During our time together, four young people received Jesus Christ and two others were healed physically." In the UK, a new year of Youth Sports Leadership began with those 16+ helping lead the younger group of teenagers beginning their leadership journey. Praise God!
