Paul Moore (a Bristol University trained lawyer) was a senior banker who warned his bank, HBOS, about its excessive risk-taking, and, he claims, was fired as a result.
His talk ‘The HBOS story and the lessons learned - putting faith and ethics into practice in the world today’ is this year's St Matthias Lecture 2011 on Monday 17 October. The 17 October event runs from 7.30 pm to 10.00 pm in the Chapel Lecture Theatre at UWE's St Matthias Campus, Oldbury Court Road, Fishponds, BRISTOL BS16 2JP. The format will be: lecture, light refreshments, followed (for those who wish to stay) by further discussion.
