Bristol Region youth workers forum

 

I am writing to invite you to a youth workers’ forum meeting aimed at encouraging youth work by Christians in the greater Bristol region.

There are so many good things happening with many different churches and youth organisations in and around Bristol, that I thought it would be very helpful to meet together one morning and find out what everyone is doing. The morning would include a time for introductions, some inspirational input, a chance to hear a bit about different groups and organisations in and around Bristol (groups including CROSS, The Noise, SWYM, ngm, CYM, Christian Aid, The Mix and others). This time we will have a particular focus on working with schools. There will also be plenty of time to network and see how, together, we can serve the youth of this region more effectively.

The morning will start with coffee at 9.30am and will finish at 1pm with lunch (provided free of charge!!). The venue will be The New Foyer, Woodlands Christian Centre, Belgrave Rd, Clifton, Bristol BS8 2AA. Parking is limited so I recommend you use the shopper’s car park at Clifton Down, (entrance off Alma Rd) then walk round. Or you can pay for up to 3 hours at the on-street meters.

If you are aware of any other youth workers who are Christians (they may be church based, para-church based or working with a secular agency) who would like to come along, do forward this invite or get them to make contact with me.
