Global Development: A Taxing Business?

When: Thursday 7 February 2013, 6-8pm

The global economy is more and more the determining factor of economics and development.
When international organisations operate as producers in developing countries, tax paid on those products can be a strategic element in the national budget.
This event is designed to deepen our understanding of this issue as a matter of mutual as well as moral interest.

The keynote speaker will be Alastair Redfern, Bishop of Derby, who is the Church of England spokesperson on these matters and speaks in the House of Lord’s.
He will be joined by three forum experts in taxation, international development, and financial services.

Tim Pemberton from BBC Bristol will be Chairing.
Please join us from 6pm for a drinks reception, the event will start at 6.30pm.
