Bristol Region Leaders Morning

(jointly hosted with Muller Church Partnerships)
bristol leaders

When: Thursday 7th February from 10am-1pm
Where: Woodlands Church, Belgrave Rd, Clifton, Bristol

Changing a generation...

There are over 80,000 children and young people in the Greater Bristol region with no meaningful contact with church. We would like to work towards a strategy for seeing every school reached and served by a local church through Christian teachers and support staff, governors, teams taking assemblies and lessons, running Christian lunchtime clubs and prayer spaces etc.

We want to invite you and your youth/children's workers to a consultation morning on Thursday 7th February from 10am-1pm, starting with coffee and croissants. This will be a chance to talk and pray together and to hear some inspiring examples of how local churches have been effectively serving children and young people within their schools. We will also include more details about "Open the Book" and "Prayer spaces". The morning will be jointly hosted by Bristol Region leaders and Muller Church Partnerships (The George Muller Charitable Trust has been inspiring vision for reaching these local ‘Spiritual Orphans’ alongside the wider vision for ‘Orphans of the World’) and will run from 10am-1pm on Thursday 7th February at Woodlands Church. Coffee and pastries served from 9.30am For catering purposes please could you let us know if you and/or your youth/children's worker are able to come (email )

Every blessing for 2013 as together we seek to see our region changed and impacted with the good news of the Kingdom

PS.
Be inspired by Andy Hawthorne OBE who addressed more than 600 cross-party MPs, Peers, church leaders and charities at the National Prayer Breakfast at Westminster’s Great Hall in June 2011. Andy was the keynote speaker at the event which had the theme ‘Raising the aspirations of young people’.

He told breakfast delegates: ‘The Bible works – and Jesus is the answer. The message of the Bible raises the aspirations of young people – we ditch it at our peril. The best of our society is built on this precious book.’ He went on to say, ‘The more we invest in today’s young people the values that God gave us in this book the better our society will become.’
