Get Sported Summer Camps
What a summer! 110 Children came to camp, 32 Bibles were given away and 17 children came to Christ. We thank God for his faithfulness and for his enduring love for the children in Knowle but also for our young leaders. How privileged we are, as coaches and leaders, to see children come to Christ. We also witnessed our seven young leaders grow in confidence and step out in faith to lead sessions in love for these children. What we love about God is how he meets and exceeds our expectation. Crossbar Challenge Quiz
We are taking bookings for our annual Sports Quiz which is being held on Friday 18th October, 7:30pm at Goals Brislington. If you would like to book a table or join a team please click here for more information
CST Meetings
The Bristol team meets every other Monday to plan, pray and socialise. The next meeting is Monday 9th September. If you would like to come along and hear how God is directing the team in sport ministry post Games please email akeel a_t worldsportministries d_o_t com or phone: 0117 353-3153
PRAYER SUPPORT:
* Pray for Iain as he prepares for the Bristol Half Marathon this weekend. We pray for a great morning running around Bristol and for opportunities to witness to other runners. We thank God for all the training and preparation he has done to get to the start line.
* Continue to pray for the WSM Bristol team as they plan and prepare for the second half of 2013 and into 2014. We are praying for team growth and wisdom lining up projects. We are praying for God to release people to our team so we can effectively reach people in Bristol.
* Please pray for a good response to our Crossbar Challenge Quiz on October 18th at the Goals Centre in Brislington. Please pray for preparation and wisdom in planning the rounds and logistics on the night. We pray for God's hand in preparing hearts to hear His word as we bring our friends and families to join us in fellowship over a curry meal.
* Pray for all our GET Sported Camps over October in Bristol, Bath and Frome. May the children continue to come to know Jesus in a powerful way as they play their sports. May they make new friends and gain a fresh confidence in themselves. Pray for the leaders, that they will be great role models as they share Jesus with them.
