Wanted - a new MediaNet Coordinator

Could you be the person to help your colleagues work out their faith in the world of media?  Could you bring people together, share your experience and offer support and encouragement?  Could you be the next MediaNet Coordinator? 

These are exciting times here at MediaNet towers.  This Summer will see theMediaNet moving onto existing social media platforms where it will be easier to keep in touch with issues and opportunities from day to day.  

To lead and coordinate this work we are looking for a new MediaNet Coordinator, starting Summer 2014, who will feed the network and help it to grow.

The job will be to contact, network and support Christians in the media, bringing them together online and off-line.  The post will be half-time initially, but may grow.  The initial contract is for 12 months.  The salary will be £24k - £27k pro rata, (ie £12k - £13 500 for a half-time post.)

The person we appoint will be a lively Christian.  They will have pastoral/leadership gifts and extensive experience of working in the media.  They will need to work on their own without close supervison and be comfortable working with a range of social media platforms, proactive, self-driven and keen to grow a vibrant, active network.

Threads
The wonderful Threads website is looking for someone with that rare mix of creativity and organisation to project manage their editorial content.  You will be passionate about all forms of media, with a keen eye for detail, and a heart for creating community, facilitating conversations and helping to build an authentic and relevant faith for this generation.  Threads is run by the Evangelical Alliance, and won the award for Best Christian Blog at the Christian New Media Awards in 2012. The Salary is  £25,000 per annum, plus non-contributory pension and other benefits. Insight Film Festival
Insight is a biennial interfaith film festival.  Current Insight projects include:
 

  • A special screening of Honour with Q&A panel discussion on 8th May at Leeds Trinity University.
  • The PLURAL+ Insight Award for young UK filmmakers aged 9-25
  • A Student Film Award with a prize of a 6-week internship with a film production company in Hollywood.
