NEW Fairtrade Employee Advocate Award Launchedbftn 1

The South West Fairtrade Business Awards will now recognise individuals in the workplace who promote Fairtrade, thanks to the South West TUC.

This new Award will go to the person in a company who has championed Fairtrade in the workplace and encouraged colleagues and/or their employer to buy more Fairtrade products, or taken a lead in ensuring management commitment to Fairtrade.
Individuals can be nominated by their employers, union or other people at work. They can be awarded bronze, silver or gold Award depending on their contribution.

Nigel Costley, SWTUC Executive Director, explains why they sponsored the Award 'Trade unions recognise the importance of fair trade and solidarity with workers around the world. But to make a real difference at work needs individuals who champion the cause and argue for change amongst their colleagues and managers. This award will recognise such people and hopefully encourage others to create fair trade workplaces.'
To nominate a colleague or employee for the Award please go to: http://southwestfairtrade15.eventbrite.co.uk/
The South West Fairtrade Business awards aim to recognise and reward businesses in the region that use and promote Fairtrade.
The Awards ceremony will be held on Friday 6th March 2015 at The Watershed, Bristol, and the awards will be presented by Aardman Animations and Divine chocolate to celebrate their collaboration on the Shaun the Sheep Fairtrade Easter Egg.
