Headlines
Welcome to our Headlines election special!

The general election is just four weeks away on Thursday, 7 May. We’re encouraging churches to take a few minutes to talk to their congregations about the importance of voting and engaging further with politics. We’ve produced a range of innovative resources to help you encourage your church members to vote.

We’d love to hear how your church is engaging with the general election. Do tweet us a photo of your activities, with the hashtag #showup, or email info@eauk.org to tell us more.
Which areas of the Alliance’s work do you relate to most closely? We’d love you to consider directly supporting an area of our work. Please make sure that our work is able to continue: www.eauk.org/support

Church leaders from a wide range of denominations have joined together to call on UK Christians to show up and vote. This inspiring three-minute video features members of the Evangelical Alliance One People Commission including Bishop Wilton Powell, Bishop Eric Brown, Steve Clifford, Pastor Yemi Adedeji, Chine Mbubaegbu, Pastor Samuel Cueva, Pastor Steve Uppal, Pastor Modupe Afolabi and Pastor Ong.

Show Up video
The Show Up campaign, supported by more than 40 Christian organisations and church networks, encourages Christians to more positively engage in politics; to show up and get involved rather than shouting from the side-lines. This short biblically-based and beautifully animated video is designed as a provocative discussion-starter and call to action.

Groundbreaking research on evangelicals and politics

Our latest research report Faith in politics? is now available. Based on our survey of more than 2,000 UK evangelicals, this report explores their political views and how they are involved in politics. Read the full report – Faith in politics?

This research is designed to spark conversations and ideas in your church, so we’ve produced some resources, including discussion questions, a Powerpoint presentation and a summary of the key findings

Political leaders including Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage have responded to the findings in our March/April idea magazine. Find out what the party leaders have to say about evangelicals and politics.
