Robin Mitchell's New Album

Robin Mitchell has released his latest album, 'feather weight soul tape Volume V: Down in the city'. Bristol Live Magazine have already named it their release of the month for September, comparing it to a mixture of Metronomy, Belle & Sebastian, and Sam Smith.

The album features contributions from several Woodies people: the voices of Robert Short, Isabelle Neill and Joey Mitchell, some bass-playing from Liam Owen, as well as artwork and design from Sherony Lock.

Robin sometimes helps to facilitate sung worship at Woodies and while these songs are not 'worship songs', they explore faith and identity, hope and fragility, locating these themes within the context of the city. Robin sees music as a way of expressing the kingdom of heaven, both within the church and wider society, and has felt immensely supported by Woodies in pursuing this as a vocation.

You can listen to the album or download it right now from https://robinmitchell.bandcamp.com/album/feather-weight-soul-tape-volume-v-down-in-the-city, or you can pre-order a tape or a CD.
The album is now also available to stream from Spotify or to download from iTunes, if that is more your thing.

Just to remind you that we have a launch party this Saturday (12th September 2015) in Bristol at The Crofter's Rights (Stoke's Croft)  from 7pm. £5 on the door gets you a free CD.
