2012 Games - we can do it!

Thank you for all the passing on of news, posting on websites, your replies and general encouragement for the Jubilee weekend and 2012 Games. Below is todays report of lots of stats to illustrate amazing things planned across the nation - you have been part of this.

And now, we are almost there!

Personally I am looking forward to joining the Coptic Orthodox team join the Salvation Army give out water at St Pancras station, and helping with email enquiries to the many people we expect to visit www.christinaity.org.uk

At CTE, our office at CTE is on standby as a venue where the Salvation Army teams in London can store water.

And it is not too late to encourage churches with the following top 5 suggestions:

1) Register what is already planned on the More than Gold website
http://www.morethangold.org.uk/your-church/register-your-event.html

2) Encourage bells to ring on 27th July www.allthebells.com

3) Have special Sunday themes - especially for the values of the Paralympics:
http://www.morethangold.org.uk/your-church/paralympics.html

4) Engage in service - especially if organised by local community or sports group that are asking for volunteers

5) Join in the wave of prayer for the light to shine, everyone to be safe, headlines to be positive, the Olympic Values to be owned by all, the Paralympic Games to be highlighted more, for the Golden Rule to be applied.
