SPECTRUM 2012 - Bristol Cathedral : 19th May 2012

Churches Together in Greater Bristol are holding another SPECTRUM event in Bristol Cathedral on the afternoon of Saturday 19th May 2012. The exhibition will be from
2.00 p.m.to 4.00 p.m. followed by a time of worship.

At Spectrum 2011 we had 50 stands, all showcasing projects and mission activities that Christians were undertaking in and around Bristol. It was a fantastic opportunity for networking and sharing ideas. By highlighting the many outreach and mission activities that Christians already undertake, we were given a glimpse of how much is already being done in local communities. The worship following the exhibition was undoubtedly inspirational!

We hope that many more churches and organisations will want to be involved in 2012: there are three ways in which you can take part:

DISPLAY STAND

If you wish to apply for a space/stand please complete this form (Booking Form - Click Here) and return it not later than Friday 13th April 2012 to Vena Prater, ISR, 162 Pennywell Road, Bristol BS5 0TX. The form is also available online at www.cross-spectrum.co.uk

Whilst we will try to accommodate as many requests as possible, it may not be possible to offer spaces to all who apply. If we are over-subscribed you may be asked to share a space. We will do our best to meet your requirements but space and resources are limited so it would be helpful if you could provide your own display stand, table etc.

There will be some electrical power points nearby for some stands, but not all; if you need a power supply and one is available for you, you may be asked to bring an extension cable.

Please ensure that your equipment is insured and PAT tested where necessary as it will not be covered by the Cathedral’s insurance.

SPECTRUM CHOIR

For the last Spectrum event, people from a variety of churches and backgrounds came together to form the Spectrum Choir. They enjoyed it so much that they have continued to meet and are planning performances in three churches, culminating with the Spectrum 2012 event at Bristol Cathedral. If you would like to join these singers please contact Joan Ward, the choir secretary, at

ACOUSTIC ENSEMBLE

Spectrum is honoured (and extremely lucky!) to have Jonathan James as its musical director. Jonathan is a conductor, former teacher and founder of the New Bristol Sinfonia. For Spectrum 2012 he is putting together an acoustic ensemble to be part of the worship service. If you can offer musical gifts as part of this ensemble please contact

If there is anything else you need to know at this stage please contact
