Black History is more than a month

As Black History Month 2022 enters its last week, we’ve pulled together some resources for you for to help you continue engaging and turn education into action.

‘After The Flood’ is a 67 minute powerful documentary which aims to be educational and redemptive, and addresses the historical neglect of slavery in British Christian history. It’s available to rent or buy and is something to consider watching as a congregation or house group.

Churches Together have a great set of articles and lectures available including ‘Racial Justice Champions’ which celebrates contributions of often-unsung individuals from across the UK.

And ‘The Good Foundations Checklist’ from the Bristol-based ‘Racism and the Church’ identifies 10 simple steps that churches can begin to adopt to improve their responses to diversity and inclusion.
