Home for Good invite you a special event on 25th March

Dear Friends,
 
Thank you to each of you, who continue to journey with us at Home for Good, as we seek to find homes for children who need them. We are so grateful for all the incredible support you have given us and Bristol City Council Fostering, over the recent years, thank you so much!
 
Please would you consider joining us on the 25^th March at 10am, at Woodlands Church, to discuss Why churches should care about children in care? Everyone is very welcome to the event, whether in leadership or not, and please feel free to invite others. Attached is the advertising which you can use at your church or in your social media platforms. Sign up is below!
 
We absolutely want to celebrate all of you who have been part of this journey so far, from church members stepping into the role of fostering or adoption, to the wonderful way that churches can and have, wrapped around such families, in the fellowship and the communities that we live. We also want to share a number of testimonies from some of people who have been impacted personally. However, I am sure that a number of you will have seen the URGENT Appeal for Foster Carers from the Council these past few weeks, but did you know that there are currently over 750 children, being looked after by the City and that the need has not slowed down, but instead has grown significantly. The Council are finding it increasingly difficult to place children locally, in places familiar to them, so instead, they have to move the children away from all that they know.
 
I wonder what part your church might play and how we at Home for Good could support you in this? We want to see these children remain locally, and we believe that the Church has the most wonderful potential to serve in this exceptional need! Please consider joining us for the morning, enjoy some pastries, coffee and tea, and let’s work together, to see how the church can continue to make a difference here in Bristol City.
