The Noise 2023 and the future...

The Noise 2023 was an incredible weekend and we've been really encouraged to hear some of the stories from across the city, from those who volunteered, attended events or received support from a team of volunteers. We will be sharing these on our social media platforms over the coming weeks. Catch up below with a glimpse of what happened and also details about The Noise event going forward. Finally, we want to bring your attention to the 'City of Hope' event on Saturday 10th June that we are co-hosting with Christian Action Bristol and Good Faith Partnership.

What happened? For us, it's not about the figures. But we do know that seeing them plays a part in helping us see what happened! Click here to have a read of what took place! We have added photos from the weekend to our Facebook page and website. Also, check out the full weekend review video below!

The Noise 2024 and beyond... Some of you will have heard the big announcement in which Bristol Noise trustees have made the difficult decision that The Noise 2024 on 4-6 May 2024 will be our final one together across the whole city. We feel that a new exciting season has started for how the church is engaging in local communities and we want to make space for this to grow. Please watch the short video below to hear more and keep an eye on our website here - www.thenoise.org.uk/2024. We want next year to be time of celebration and continuing to show God's love in practical ways in every neighbourhood across Bristol - get the dates in yours and your church's calendars.

‘A CITY OF HOPE’ is an event on Saturday 10th June that will bring together Christians from all over Bristol to explore how we can most effectively work in partnership to support our city's critical and complex needs.
As we look forward as a city-wide church, we recognise that addressing the city’s critical needs requires us to work more collaboratively and strategically.
With the ongoing pressure of the ‘Cost-of-Living Crisis’, compounding existing issues and inequalities, this is a call to reflect and also to look forward and commit to justice, unity, and partnership, together and with the city. The event will be an opportunity to hear from local contributors working in key areas, including Homelessness, Mental Health, Diversity, Refugees/Asylum Seekers and more. And there will also be opportunities for worship and prayer, alongside a keynote contribution from Dr Krish Kandiah of the Sanctuary Foundation. We have always aimed for the Noise event to be a springboard to inspire everyone to be ‘showing God’s love in practical ways’ the whole year round.  If you've not heard already, we've set up a project called Noise 365, which is a section of our website updated regularly with volunteering and training opportunities across the city, throughout the year.
Want to do something practical in your community? We would also love to share our tools, equipment and training to help you support individuals and groups who are in need of volunteer help or to run community events during the rest of the year. Get in touch to discuss what that might look like!

All the activities of The Noise 2023 and Bristol Noise Charity are funded by individuals, churches and a few grants that are obtained. We are really grateful for every volunteer contribution that helped towards making this year happen, including inflatables, tools, publicity, insurance, health & safety, site licences, rubbish trucks, tshirts, and more!

Finally, a massive THANK YOU to all of you for being a part of this year's event. Each one of your contributions before, during and after the weekend has been a part of a citywide display of love and unity! Love from Beth, Stewart and the Bristol Noise Core Team
