Seemingly out of nowhere in early July, Meta announced the imminent launch of their newest social media app, Threads, which was slated to be the ‘Twitter killer’. After some contentious badinage between Meta’s owner Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk, this seemed to be the latest in a series of oneupmanship more...

Let's shape the media culture together
ab9c2ade-22b5-9bdd-c4b9-464e5c
As a profession, the media holds a significant and powerful influence in this country. The truths broadcast from individuals, either personally or on behalf of their organisations, shape and transform our perceptions, viewpoints and life outlook and can even determine our actions. Whether we're reading a newspaper, listening to the radio, watching television or browsing social channels, the media carries huge power over our daily lives.

Would you kindly consider supporting Christians in Media financially as we seek to play our part in shaping culture by speaking integrity, truth and courage into the heart of a profession which by its very nature and existence transforms the way we live.

Your support will help us grow our successful Mentoring Programme, promote and develop our ‘Faith in Media’ podcast, implement a series of in-person events including an exciting Mental Health & Wellbeing Workshop next spring, plan for the ‘Christians in Media’ Annual Conference in 2024, while continuing to create local media hubs across the country that bring together Christians working in, and with media in the area.

Please pray about partnering with us: a regular monthly amount of £5£10, £25 or even £50 would help us plan with confidence. Or you may want to give a one-off gift. Please do this here.

Thank you so much. Together, we can reach, encourage and help many more Christians like you who work in, and with, media to flourish in their faith and be influential for the Kingdom of God.

Coming Soon: National Day of Prayer for the Media
We are busy planning our programme leading up to our National Day of Prayer for the Media on Sunday 29 October. Can your church or prayer group commit to praying for you, for the UK media landscape on that date? Let us know & we can send you some prayer resources, email:

A prayer for this time

Dear God, thank you for your many blessings. Thank you for the challenging moments when you give us the strength to fight through the storm.

Thank you for Jesus, our rock, and our shelter. Thank you for going to the cross, and taking the punishment for our sins. Thank you, Jesus, for overcoming death, and giving us hope of eternal life with you.

Thank you, Jesus, for the Holy Spirit, our comforter in the midst of the storm, always being by our side, guiding us with your wisdom and knowledge.

Thank you for your constant love that never fails, and the light that overcomes the darkness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

'By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures' Proverbs 24: 3-4, NIV.
