Bera will share more about Hand for a Friend, the church's ministry to homeless people in Novi Sad, and how it has been blessed through the support of Harvest for the Hungry.
Our online prayer gatherings allow you to hear directly from our partners, so you can join with them and TEN supporters to pray specifically for their ministries. Register in advance to join us - we would love to see you there!

The Roma church in Kavadarci, North Macedonia, is facing a major crisis. In the last few months, attendance has dropped severely. This month, a family that came to the church was violently attacked in their home by people from another Roma community. The attackers came with wood, rods, stones and axes, beating up the family. Everything in their home was broken, and items were stolen. To keep them safe, the family were forced by the police to move to another city. Out of fear of another attack, the few Romani believers who remained in the village have stopped coming to services, and the Roma church will be closed temporarily. Pray for the family that was attacked and for this entire crisis, that it will be resolved quickly, and God-willing, the church will reopen.

Baptisms in Bitola & Brinza
|
|
It is such an encouragement to witness people giving their lives to Christ and then making the public declaration of faith through baptism. Here are just a few stories:
|
|
This summer, there were baptisms in Bitola and Gevgelija. Petre Petrov, the President of the Evangelical Church of Macedonia, wrote, 'In our country, baptisms are usually performed in a nearby river, which creates a biblical atmosphere. Several more baptisms are coming up in Bitola, Negotino, Stip and other places. Pray for the candidates, that they will be steadfast in their decision.' In Bitola, TEN partner, Josip Pastor conducted baptisms for six believers. Praise God!

One of the most blessed events is the baptism of newly converted people. These are people who we have helped to grow in their relationship with God. The first baptism took place in 1926, which was the moment when Brinza Baptist Church was born. Since then, almost every year there have been baptisms and people were added to the number of the church. There are 130 people here at the moment.
This month, six people testified to their faith in Christ through the waters of baptism. We held the baptisms at the River Prut which flows about 300m from our church building. This way, many people from our village, who don’t usually come to our church, come to see the baptisms and hear the gospel.
Baptisms are a great hope and encouragement that, as long as people repent and get baptised, the church will continue to exist. Our great encouragement is when we see people we have preached the gospel to and prayed for over a long time respond, repent and express their desire to get baptised. This year, one of our candidates, Maria, told us, "God has had so much patience with me. He’s waited for me for forty years while I was lost and far away from Him.”

All the glory, the praise and our gratitude we give to God for everything He does in the life of our church! Much love in the name of Jesus.
