Sportily Supporters News: The Sports Pages

Thank you for your prayers in support of the ministry of Sportily. Please join us in celebration and prayer at this time around the following points:

From the pitch/court/field

  • Apprentice Beth has been encouraged by the relationships growing at our Pop Up Sports sessions in Upton St Leonards. It was a really special moment when one young person felt comfortable sharing where they are on their faith journey. Beth shares:
"One of the young people who has been coming to Pop Up Sports and USL Youth for a while said that he considered himself a Christian."

  • Sport and Faith Leader Chris recently attended Soudley Village Fete, where he enjoyed a great day connecting with people in the local community. It was a brilliant opportunity to meet new people, share what Sportily is about, and bring some fun to the event. Chris shares:

"It was wonderful to be part of the fete and make new connections. Despite the seriously hot weather, teenagers were really happy to chat, and many Year 6s shared their worries about moving to secondary school. The keepy-uppie challenge was a big hit, with plenty of World Cup fever as people tried to keep the ball off the floor. Lots of fun was had by all!"

  • Sport and Faith Leader Karen has been enjoying seeing friendships grow through our Outdoor Fitness sessions in Cirencester. Karen shares:

"We all did a wonderful fitness class outdoors and then went to a local cafe for coffee, chat and cake. A new lady came who is new to the area and wants to make friends. Lovely bunch of ladies."

Please pray for

  • Please pray for everyone taking part in this year's TRAC Summer Residential, which starts today. Ask that the young people would have an unforgettable weekend full of fun, friendship, and faith, and that our team and volunteers would have all they need to make it a brilliant few days.
